So what I always tell families is be prepared.
That's the first thing, you guys.
Be prepared for this.
And it's usually kind of a six-week transition once the baby's born.
But as much as you can give her attention without her having to ask for it.
that is really gonna make things a lot better.
I think it's great that you have done some things
beforehand, but once the baby's born is really when I would be mindful of this because she has no concept of time or anything like that right now.
But I think the best advice that I can give to you guys is when you have other people coming in, I don't know if you're having grandparents that are coming in, but people generally do that to help.
A lot of times they'll hand the toddler over to the grandparents and outsource that role
And then the parents take care of the baby.
I would recommend doing the opposite.
Hand the baby over as much as you can.
And you guys go to the park with Tate or go to story time.
Because again, the more you give her that attention that she craves, she won't have to ask for it.
But it's the opposite of what parents do.
You know, I think kids learn patience.
And it's interesting with families who have twins, how patient those kids are, because they don't get everything in the moment that they want it.
And so I think that there's a balance that you can strike.
But again, as much as you can pregame it, the better off you're going to be.
