So they may have something like, you know, certain noises bother them.
Yeah.
Well, many people are tired of the Band-Aid approach.
So if they had brain fog, maybe they've already been someone who takes something to sleep, a pill.
Melatonin.
melatonin, or they may take like a trazodone, like a more like serious medication.
Or someone might have had like a sleeping apparatus, like they might have had like a just soft mouth guard, or they may have had like a CPAP to breathe.
And most people haven't really, like you mentioned, attuned to if you have a narrow jaw, you don't have as much room for your tongue, right?
So if you don't have room for your tongue,
your tongue is gonna go back in your throat and like cause basically a traffic jam to breathe at night.
So basically we assess our patients very simple to see how wide is your jaw?
Does your tongue fit?
Can you breathe through your nose?
and maybe other alternatives than melatonin or a CPAP.
There's many things you can do in dentistry to help someone open their airway up.
Something as minor as a guard for sleep apnea alternative or sometimes for people they need to do something very simple orthodontically so they basically have enough room to breathe.
Um, usually for people, they are sick and tired, being sick and tired, and they've reached their limit, their threshold, whatever that would be, whether that would be X, Y, and Z solution isn't working, or my spouse is tired of me complaining of the same pain, or they can't sleep, or that spouse can't sleep because I'm too noisy, and then you sleep in different bedrooms, so sort of relationship type of conflict, and
I think for people that want a more long-lasting solution, there are different alternatives, right?
You don't have to just wear a CPAP.
Most people know that for sleep apnea because their medical doctor would have prescribed it.
