So even for those groups that are not partnered with with a corporate entity of any sort, a lot of them have gotten away from the old sort of, hey, you buy in over, you know, you buy in after two years, the buy in happens over five years and at the end of seven years, you're a full partner or whatever it may have been in the different structures that were out there.
Yeah.
because that wasn't working to recruit young doctors, right?
I mean, no one wants to wait five years, seven years to feel like they're on equal footing.
What I really think is partly is understand what is the realistic outcome today.
You can never be fully prepared for whatever that eventual outcome may be, right?
Whether you're that partner then or you're not, there's gonna be change.
Like the only thing that's inevitable, right, is change.
Yeah.
But I think understanding, what I will say this is like in our model,
even though we've been in this different kind of world now for 10 years, we've still always had an offering for new partners, right?
As they become what we call senior physicians, because technically we may not be a partnership in the same way anymore.
There is something there, whether it be going on to a different compensation model, having access to some of the ancillary revenue, whatever it may be, there's something there.
Now, typically, right, I mean, a lot of young neurologists may or may not know this, but typically most groups are agreeing to sort of take a loss on them for at least a year, year and a half.
to let them build their practice it's a great investment no one should be like begrudging of it but it is once again one of those things that's on the back of the doctors that are there already if you're in a unpartnered kind of of private practice so i think understanding that is important that they are literally investing in your success but i think it's really critical to say okay beyond that what are you doing to make sure that we're a success right
Is there a mentorship track?
Is there some sort of way to get you to get your name out there so that you have referrals coming in?
Is there a true structure in how you're going to help somebody build their practice?
If you're coming with a specialty interest, how realistic is that?
What percentage of your time do they want you spending on your specialty versus others?
