Like, as he's been buried in the depth chart, it's been pretty inconsistent.
It's been pretty disappointing.
As he's been given room to spread his wings, it's been a very different story.
So, look, man, a month ago when you kind of started this, I think Pewock can be McDaniel's thing.
I would have told you I don't think he can be McDaniels I think he can guard McDaniels right and that's awesome but I'm I would have I was wrong on that like this is I think also in my head man I kind of thought of Jade McDaniels this year as more of a 17 18 point per game guy.
He's not.
I mean, his numbers are a lot like Peyton Watts' numbers with the starters.
So there are questions, of course, to ask, like, how does this look for Peyton?
If he were in this role full-time and defenses were keyed in on him, would it look different?

But as far as his potential, man, you're on to something with this McDaniels comp, and...
I would say one of the challenges for Piwot, too, is making sure his defense doesn't fall off as he becomes this more capable offensive player.
Absolutely.
Because that's a classic story in the NBA for role players.
Right, second team all defense.
So I think right now I would give McDaniels the edge defensively.
I would too.
But Watson can be an impact defender.
And his great moments are four quarters of guarding Kevin Durant.
For some reason, by the way, that's his matchup of all matchups.
