It doesn't seem that pleasurable for them, honestly, because a lot of time the female would be like dragging the male around by his hemipenes.
There was this observation by a woman in South Africa who found an African house snake female who was mating with two males simultaneously.
She was dragging both of them around by their hemipenes.

It's common that we look at specimens in the museums, and I'm talking about insects and spiders, and you look across males and females in the collection, and as you start dissecting some of the females, you realise, oh, this female here is actually a male.
And they probably were an alternative mating strategist.
I've worked quite a bit with dung beetles.
Males vary hugely in the length of their horns.
And the males with the really long horns, they fight each other.
And they defend these tunnels under the dung pads where the females are at the bottom.
So they fight off other males so that they are the only ones who can mate with those females.
But then smaller males have pretty much no horns or just these little residual stumps.
