And and I can never have both of those conversations in the same conversation often.
So that's the thing that I think I want everybody to hold with a a real um as best you can.
I am so grateful that we have access to these and that we will continue, hopefully.
If all goes well with the FDA, that will continue to have access to these.
They are extraordinary tools and they are also very complex.
They have great potential for helping people heal and.
I think the word transformation comes up for lots of good reasons and um they can also be very damaging for people if not in the right set of circumstances and with people that can be really trusted.
Yeah, I have concerns about them in a therapeutic setting where they're not being held with a lot of respect.
for the profound privilege and risk that is assumed when you start getting deeper access to people's consciousness.
And I do think that these compounds allow us to access things inside people that we would normally not otherwise be able to access.
Yeah, I think or ready for, especially when we really lean on these drugs in higher doses to have an effect, um, without taking a lot of consideration to why someone may not be ready to be opened up in that way.
I think almost always we hide them for self-protective reasons.
And so
You know, in a traditional psychotherapy, you're building a relationship and you're assessing in the context of that therapeutic relationship their skill, their capacity, and their connection.
Can I go to these deeper places?
Whereas you can force open aspects of someone's psyche and their consciousness with compounds if you use them in a certain way.
