Um and I think the more that we can do that as a medical pro profession, the the better it's gonna be.

Um, I actually found that story really horrific.
Um and and I would hope that that never happens.
Um I I suppose I'm not naive.
Um I know that um that things that I would consider um below an acceptable standard of care do occur.
Um but certainly um to insist that someone undergoes a procedure that's invasive um
is not um something that a that a doctor or a nurse or a health professional should be doing.
Um certainly um there are other options in terms of management, in terms of care.
There's a lot of information you can get with a transabdominal ultrasound, so that's an ultrasound on the tummy.
Um and there are a few things that you can't a few pieces of information you can't get with that with that sort of ultrasound.
But um
that shouldn't mean that someone doesn't um have care.
And to be honest, it's a bit of a double standard, well in fact it's an extreme double standard because a cisgendered woman um who um uh choose chooses not to or hasn't yet chosen to have penetrative intercourse um would not be um encouraged to have a transvaginal scan.
Um so my feeling is that that that was um substandard care.
