The older I get, the more senior I get, the more it's about working with other people.

But the system has taught me that I have to have the answer.

That's how I've always been examined.

And even OSCEs are, OSCEs don't get this right.

We have been through a system, and everybody in healthcare has to pass exams in order to establish credibility.

It doesn't matter what your job is.

We've been through a system that's all about us, and the individual level, when actually performance, wisdom,

learning, resilience, horrible word, but well-being are actually, they're social qualities.

They're things that happen when we function well with other people and we don't talk about it and we leave people feeling it's their responsibility to get themselves out of the mire when actually, exactly as Richard's just said, the responsibility sits at an organisational level more than at an individual level, but we have to recognise it at an individual level.

So when I'm thinking about the system, I'm thinking about the system telling us we have to be the answer to everything, when actually it's just simply not true.

All right, so I get to do cultural workshops.

This is what I do most of my time.

I'm 70% of an NHS consultant, and my wife would say I'm about 200% of somebody who goes and does workshops.

And I get to do it with all sorts of people.

There's a really important piece of information in healthcare, and this is not true of all industry, but in healthcare, if you believe you work in a good team, you almost certainly do this.

So you can get in a room with people in healthcare and you can ask them about the best teams they've ever worked.

You can ask them what happened in those teams and they will list the good things.

And then you can ask them about the worst teams.

And boy, do they love talking about the worst teams.
