I think this is why it struck such a nerve with the president when those six brave Democratic members of Congress spoke out and told members of the military that they are not to follow any illegal orders.
They didn't say don't follow the orders.
We know it's laid out in the Constitution.
The president is the commander in chief.
He is in charge of all armed forces.
We get it.
Even the Space Force that he created.
However,
Illegal orders are a totally different conversation.
And they're just reminding service members that if your your superiors are so pledged in loyalty to the president and forget that the oath that they've taken to the Constitution, the American public gets clouded, then you are not to follow those things.
And I think that's why we've seen this ire, this panic, this, you know,
Truth Social posts at ungodly hours because the president recognizes that in this iteration of his administration with not having the best people, we are literally, we don't have patriots, we don't have Republicans who say this is a bridge too far.
You have people who are sycophants
And now they may have entered into a realm where the president's trying to walk it back.
Obviously, he will throw whomever he needs to throw under the bus if necessary.
But these are beyond dangerous times, not just for the American people and making us less safe internationally, but also for this particular administration, because people have taken
the president's orders or whomever's orders in a direction that has put us on a global stage that has exposed us to some real honesty about what this administration has done to possibly innocent people and almost 100 innocent people in international waters.
I think it's definitely a sign of something bigger.
Be mindful that this is a president and Donald Trump who never wanted to be seen as a lame duck when he is in his second term, even though there was a term of Biden in between his first and now his second one.
This is a guy who is denying that he is aging, even though it's happening right in front of our right in front of our eyes.
