Yes.
But I think, you know, when we are trying to move forward, right, and think about what leadership looks like after this Trump administration, we have broken some things in this fragile American democracy.
What I think a lot of people are realizing is that so many of the ways that we have operated in the past were built on norms, not laws.
They're built on behaviors that people followed.
And
We just took it as practice.
We've seen Donald Trump come in with an entire administration saying, well, if it's not nailed down, we're gonna take it, right?
The first administration was the smash and grab presidency where they were trying to see what they could grab as quickly as possible because they thought, well, you know, it's just some money hanging from the trees.
And they actually had some Republicans who said,
This is a bridge too far, sir.
One, I'm not going to break the law.
Two, you are breaking the law, potentially doing so, you and your family enriching themselves.
I always use the example of poor Jimmy Carter selling his family's peanut farm because he didn't even want to seem improper.
And we've come a long way from the peanut farm to, you know, the Trump kids making money from everything from crypto to their relationships with the Saudis to hotels.
The list goes on and on to say nothing of the Trump coins and the suits and the states and the water and the colleges.
All the things that he's doing.
The gold sneakers.
The gold sneakers, right?
And the gold coins and everything else.
