It also creates huge division.
The amount of people, if you have seen all these surveys, like in, say, the US, if you're a Democrat, would you date a Republican?
Whereas, I'm sure in the oldie days, there was plenty of happy relationships where people had different politics.
Someone who's a mirror of me.
And also, perhaps things like the music that they like or whether or not they like cooking turns out to be irrelevant in terms of
what's important in a relationship.
So it is reductive.
It's transactional.
