And it has been an unmitigated disaster because it's not just, again, there's a different capitalist profit-seeking logic to the FDI housing model.
that is very much based on yield and kind of maintaining yield for your bondholders than let's say someone like, you know, who were involved in the Anglo Irish bank, you know, you know, and like during NAMA, during the kind of bank inquiry, it came out that, you know, there was like, NAMA was basically 200 individuals.
That's all changed now.
These are kind of companies now.
So that's the real change in it.
And it has been just a disaster.
I mean, it's fucking nuts.
It's just, it's so, it's just so batshit crazy.
It really is.
That you can stand up in the Dáil with a straight face and actually say this.
And what they are pumping billions into is not housing.
I mean, you know, like, look again, like what they are, what they're servicing is not housing, but yield.
Yeah.
What they're servicing is the economic model of yield for these companies.
And all these policies are geared towards increasing not housing, but increasing yield.
There are certain companies in Ireland, I don't know whether I can mention their names, who are sitting on hundreds of empty properties.
And Kennedy Wilson, in the most recent annual report, had a very interesting line.
