And I don't have to go too much into detail there because the debate, the point is we too found that there was a real ergogenic or sports enhancing effect.
But for probably 15 years, the world's perception of creatine was just as a sports enhancing product.
That was it.
That's where it started.
That's where the story started.
That's where all the research went.
But if you remember what I said earlier, creatine is really a compound that is keeping energy flowing.
when energy demand is high and your body's having a hard time keeping up.
And so right around 2010, the perception of, and the research around creatine went from something fairly narrow to something much more wide.
And I think now we're really at the tip of the iceberg still, maybe no longer at the very tip, but we are like,
learning still about just how many things creatine is good for.
Because if you think of it fundamentally as an energy supporting molecule, and you realize how fundamental energy is for life and every single process in the body, creatine takes on a whole new level of importance.
Yeah, I'll do some additional level setting on how it's working and what it's doing.
But
We now are looking at it for not only supporting better sleep at night, but a lot for sleep loss.
So if you're not getting enough sleep and you have creatine on board,
this might be the most interesting product, ingredient, supplement, whatever, that we've ever discovered at changing you from, oh my gosh, I feel terrible, because I didn't get enough sleep, to wow, I'm performing normally and I feel good.
And that has so many benefits.
So my PhD in neuroscience was actually looking, was specifically in sleep neuroscience.
So my PhD work was looking at the intersection of what I call ecologically relevant amounts of sleep loss.
