feeling it more reliably is a good thing because it helps your mind associate that the benefit is like real.
Where if it takes three weeks, you're getting the same benefit because, but since you've acclimated to that more slowly, you're like, I'm not sure if it's working or not when it absolutely is, right?
So that's more of like a behavior question.
Okay, so, and how much do your muscle stores go up?
About 20% on average, but if you're a vegan or a vegetarian,
you will see those people who maintain those dietary styles have a 40% increase in muscle creatine.
And the reason why is because we get creatine in our diet if we're eating animal products.
There's virtually no creatine in vegetable sources.
And so that's why vegetarians or vegans will benefit even more because we basically get creatine into our body without supplements by eating it and our body makes it.
And the way that it makes it, you make about one or two grams a day.
And it's made, it starts in the kidneys where the first part of the molecule is made.
That partially built molecule moves to the liver and then the liver will finish completing the creatine molecule.
And then it gets into circulation.
And then a bunch of different cells in the body have the creatine one transporter on those cells.
So there it's, you know, the manufacturing is outsourced.
It's not happening in the cells.
And then it pulls in the creatine.
And we have creatine 1 transporters in our gut, on our immune cells, in our brain, in muscles.
And so we've thought about it as just a muscle transport.
compound for the longest time because over 90% of creatine is stored there, but that does not mean that other cells aren't using it.
