It, they are.
And when you take more than five grams per day, think of the, here's the analogy that I give.
Imagine this like concrete slope and you're at the top and you pour water down and there's holes in the slope.
Well, those first couple of holes absorb all that water and none gets to the ones below them.
So when you pour one glass, then it fills up those top holes.
You pour a second glass and now it can roll past the filled up holes at the top and it can actually make it to some of the ones at the bottom.
Think of that as an analogy for yourselves.
And so it's now become popular for people to take 10 grams per day and you're exploiting that exact idea.
You're filling up your muscles, muscle stores, you're keeping them topped off.
And then the addition can get into other cells in the body, like, and in the brain.
And that's a great interest is happening in the brain.
So not just for sleep loss, but for other purposes as well.
Yeah, the brain is becoming a topic of great focus now in popular culture and in research because of increased risks of incidents of dementias and Alzheimer's disease and things like that.
And so because we're seeing...
these brain-related issues rising, there's also been greater interest in, all right, how do I preserve brain health?
So this conversation, while there is interest at looking at creatine for particular disease states, there is definitely an argument of taking creatine at the right dose for the preservation of brain capabilities as we get older.
We know that when we get older, our ability to generate and maintain energy diminishes for a variety of reasons.
Your mitochondria become less good at making energy.
The whole communication system for energy, you develop insensitivities to your insulin and glucose.
So you just have all the different ways our body is making energy become somewhat constrained.
