Yeah.
Weight gain is a thing, but bloating is, there's a difference.
So some people thought, oh yeah, I'm going to get bloated when I take creatine.
So many things that start in the world of athletics are kind of changed by the athletes that are taking it from the origin.
So like you had a lot of bodybuilders that are taking it.
Well, they're not only taking creatine.
Yeah.
Turns out bodybuilders take steroids.
And a lot of people that take steroids, particularly in the 1990s, like right now there's been a change in the perception, I think, of hormones, like testosterone replacement therapy.
Like it's a lot more out in the open now for a recreational athlete or somebody who's just in midlife.
You know, it's hormonal replacement like women have been doing for a long time.
And so it has less of a stigma to it.
But then there are also still
synthetic anabolic steroids and bodybuilders are notorious for taking a lot of different types and trying to maximize muscle usage and getting bloated.
And then also saying, oh yeah, I'm taking creatine.
And that was it, right?
So all sorts of things were attributed to creatine and it might've been other things, probably.
I'm a hyper-responder with creatine, so I'll reliably gain 10 pounds when I take it.
But it is the feeling, and that's definitely the high end from my conversations with other people, but not unprecedented.
