Yeah.

I know of a little bit of work suggesting that it shifts certain brain responses.

Like I think there was a study.

Actually, it was done at Emory in Atlanta that found that the brain was more primed to happy facial expressions from people.

girls and distressed expressions from boys.

And so there were some different patterns of brain responses.

But the literature is tiny.

We don't know a lot about those kind of sex-specific effects in the brain.

I think that's an interesting hunch.

I mean, I think our time course was just from mid-pregnancy to the first six months.

So we didn't really have enough, you know, the babies aren't even really... You mean more money.

We're actually doing a seven-year follow-up right now.

So we'll see what happens when the kids are hitting first and second grade.

We're collecting that data as we speak.

But our hunch is exactly what you said first, which is that we think that dads might behaviorally be interacting with new babies differently, depending on whether they're a boy or a girl.
