And they sort of appraised the play differently.
Yeah.
You know, they taped these sessions and with the boy who's dressed as a little girl, oh, you know, she loves the pink dolly.
And with the girl who's dressed as a little boy, you know, he wants to push the truck.
So I do think we have this way of sort of sorting boys and girls.
And so it's, you know, like with everything, it's a mix of biology and culture.
There's some biological propensity there, but we amplify it through our culture and through the way we socialize.
And I think that leads to more divergent outcomes.
So this was work I did in my graduate training.
This was part of my dissertation.
So we looked at dual income couples who were followed around their homes for a week.
This was like a week in the life study of these middle class couples in LA.
And we recorded how much time they were spending in common household activities.
So we looked at housework time,
leisure time, childcare time, other kinds of activities.
I found that housework is bad for your health, which I think anyone could have told you.
So the more time you spend doing housework on, you know, as part of a typical week, the less cortisol recovery you have at the end of the day.
So we looked at the magnitude of cortisol change from the afternoon into the evening.
And you want this drop in cortisol levels at the end of the day.
So cortisol has a diurnal rhythm, has kind of a circadian pattern.
