Thank you so much, Dr.
Russell.
It's a pleasure to be here and um sometimes you reflect back on an intro like that and go, Wow, I've done a lot of different things in my career.
I think they absolutely do and um we we could draw the parallels maybe later in the conversation.
Sure.
So um I've been married for om about twelve years and I have two young kids and um
You know, one thing I I find that's fascinating is using my I I try not to share a lot of my personal history with my clients.
I think some people want their doctor to just be like the doctor and not necessarily a a person sometimes and I can respect that.
Um, but it's interesting using my personal experience, like teaching my ten year old emotional intelligence, and I'm like, oh that was a really good way for me to phrase that.
Let me try that with couples when I see them, you know, next week.
And so it's fun to to see those parallels.
And of course, you know, they they teach me things about patience and resiliency.
I'm always impressed how emotionally resilient children are, if you really give them the space and like
my kids don't ruminate on anything, you know, they're mad at me and then
Ten minutes later they're like, Okay, I wanna snuggle on the couch or I wanna go play this game.
And I if if if the adults that I know could just have a
a a fraction of that uh
resiliency it would be quite a different experience in the therapy room.
No.
No, I mean uh a lot of the work that I find that's unique that I do with couples is trauma therapy.
