So, you know, if you're asking me the question, well how do you do couples therapy with someone who's neurodiverse, that's like saying, why does someone get a headache?
There's like a thousand reasons you can have a headache.
There's not one treatment then for it.
If you were to ask the question though, what do you do with someone that has frontal lobes slowing in the theta range?
That starts to be a little more precise, but still a wide variety of why they have it and what you might do to then address that in the in the room.

The diagnostic criteria are a set of symptoms generally, whether it's you know, patient questionnaires, parent questionnaires, teacher observations, um, you know, IQ testing, you know, whatever it might be.
And that's there's a lot of good evidence that that is very beneficial.
You know, getting accommodations in five oh fours in school are fantastic.
Um
It's it doesn't have the same specificity though.
You know, I I remember working with a a family, I was doing some couples work on the you know parenting dynamics and they asked if they could bring their daughter in for a brain map because she was struggling in school.
And so we did a brain map and her processing speed was extremely fast for her age.
