I became a physician there.

I was doing my medical training there and they filled my heart with hope.

They said, we'll do medications.

When the medications don't work, we'll have to do procedures and the procedures don't work.

Someday you may need a heart transplant.

I was able to go back to residency, but I was only better for about two years.

And it was just a short time later that my husband died unexpectedly.

So it was awful.

I mean, you know, Mel, there's nothing worse than that.

You know, and this, you know, that joy, that elation, you know, I remember that morning so vividly.

And we always wake up at 4 a.m.

He was just like me, very high energy, just the most beautiful human to ever walk the planet.

And he wasn't feeling good the night before.

So he said, go sleep with Sophia, honey.

So I did that, woke up, figured he was still sleeping.
