So, for instance, we know his father is called Laertes because we meet him in the Odyssey.
He's at the end, he's sort of cracking up a little bit because his son is taking a while to get back home.
We know about his mum, Anticlare, who also has issues with grief because her son doesn't come home and we meet her in the Odyssey in the underworld.
So we've got a bit of his backstory there.
We know that he grew up on Ithaca.
And in fact, we even know the name of his enslaved nurse, Eurycleia, because she is the one who we're told brought him up.
She has an important role to play, which we'll find out later.
And we also know that he got into quite a serious hunting accident when he was a boy in that he was out hunting a boar and he had a run in with the boar and he got a massive scar down his leg.

He is sort of one of the suitors for Helen.

We've mentioned she's she's the daughter of Zeus.
And she essentially kind of goes on the marriage market or at least her father puts her on and makes a stipulation that there is going to be a kind of contest for her hand.
So all of the suitors flock to to Helen.
