And Zeus ultimately relents and he says, OK, I will send Hermes, the messenger of the gods.
And Hermes wings his way towards Odysseus' island.
And that's kind of the point where we get into the story where, OK, Odysseus is going to be set free from the place where he has spent most of his time on his return.
And maybe he's going to start getting home.
Absolutely.
Well, what's interesting is that, and this is incredibly kind of advanced narrative making because we've got two narratives happening at the same time.
As Athena decides, hey, she's set Odysseus' release in motion.
Hermes is flying down from Mount Olympus.
At the same time, Athena then leaves and she goes to Ithaca and she lands on Ithaca disguised as a man.
And she meets Telemachus, the son of Penelope and Odysseus.
Now, by now, he is a teenager.
He's been waiting for his dad the whole way through the Trojan War.
And then you've got the 10 years also of the return or nearly 10 years at this point.
So, you know, he's coming close to kind of being a man.
And we get the first few books of the Odyssey while Hermes is on his way to go and get
At the same time, we get Telemachus' story and we get Telemachus going on his own little sort of mini voyage.
And I kind of love this because he really wants to be like his father.
So instead of doing an odyssey, he's Telemachus, so he does a Telemachy.
He goes to Sparta and he goes to Pelos and he goes basically to the big kings of time to try and get information about where his father is.
