And then there is a little bit of overlap with FPMRS, but I think more of the more formal

programs are coming out of the GRS pipeline.

Yeah, absolutely.

So if you're coming from a urology background, you're probably not going to end up in a program where there's a lot of top surgery.

But if you did go to a plastics route, you may get some exposure to top surgery.

I pursued something that was focused on bottom surgery.

But like you said, there's lots of options there.

So some programs you're going to see more diversity.

You're going to see both masculinizing and feminizing procedures.

Within the feminizing procedures, some people do vaginoplasties from the robotic approach.

Other people are doing it from an open perineal surgery approach.

And there are people who will do both, but the majority of your training is going to be one or the other, probably not

50-50.

I also think it's important to look at the case mix.

So I chose a fellowship where I could get at least 50% or more of my time focused on gender-affirming surgery.

But there are definitely GERS programs out there where you're going to get some exposure to these surgeries.

Maybe it's just going to be taking care of patients who had complications or doing a smaller handful of cases over the course of the year.

And so I wanted a place where I could really focus on gender-affirming surgery as a major part of my training.
