It's an amazing story because it turns up in various sources much, much later, like Suetonius is the one who talks about, you know, the recruitment uh issues that he faces, Tiberius Claudius.
So it's really fascinating tale about the Romans and their superstitious beliefs and why they lose battles.
And it is all about the gods.

And I think it's important too, of course, Drapanum is a key key part in this moment because the loss of the Roman navy at Drapanum means that the Carthaginians have free reign of the sea on the west coast.
And this is really important because they have been
having to negotiate the Roman fleets up until this moment.
But Drapanum is a cr is a crisis for the Romans and they they really disappear from the sea for quite a long time.
So the Row the Carthaginians feel that they've got a bit of free reign here, that they can start to build up forces on land again and perhaps try and take on the Romans.
