Dr. Mitchell went through and said that he carefully dissected the buttocks, the legs, the chest, the arms.
He was so detailed.
And he let us know what he did not find, that he did not find any broken bones, no fractured bones, that he did not find any evidence, at least in this post-mortem state,
of any bruises.
And so I appreciate that because it lets us know that this is not some biased gotcha moment.
Let me only tell you things that are intriguing to the media
He went through and systematically did what an excellent pathologist will do.
He'll tell you all of the findings.
And so now we have a bruise in the back of the head.
We have a missing neck.
We don't know the condition of the lungs.
And also, we already were at a disadvantage because it was 4th of July or the 6th of July.
We're not sure when he passed away.
But the water would have been warm in Mississippi.
That would have accelerated decomposure.
And so this was an examination done with many limitations.
But Dr. Roger Mitchell, the medical examiner, did a superior job with the information that he had and the way that he lined it up.
He lined it up.
And so that we can all understand the story that's being told and the story that is missing from Nolan Xavier Wells' body.
