Oh, guys, I feel like I'm having breakfast again with old friends.
It's so good to see you guys.
Yeah, I mean, it was a really ambitious project, right?
Like it could have been 180,000 pages easily and it could have weighed like 18 bricks.
And actually the biggest challenge was to condense it and to lop things off.
It felt like lopping off my own fingers, honestly.
It was so hard.
But the idea was, no, don't read it like a novel.
That will drive you bananas.
The idea is if you get told, oh, your cholesterol is high by your GP or you've got some aches and pains in your joints, you're thinking, do I need to panic or do I need to go to the emergency department or do I need to take a paracetamol and shut up?
This is a pretty good place to start.
Do you know what, guys?
There's probably more that we don't know than what we do know.
The research is actually still pretty poor and we do depend on a lot of what we see in petri dishes and in animals, but we're certainly seeing a lot of things happening at a cellular level.
How exactly each one of those changes translates into symptoms is really hard to sort of put into words.
There's different little bits of your mitochondria and the way that you're
genes heal themselves that definitely do not do as well as they used to do.
And it's not as quick and as seamless as the process was when you're in your, let's say your twenties and even your thirties.
And you know what happens.
You don't heal as well.
