Thank you for having me on.
Yeah, you know, the American Academy of Pediatrics, so I'm executive director of the American College of Pediatrics, but the AAP or the American Academy of Pediatrics, they seem to be doubling down on these harmful protocols for kids, the puberty blockers, opposite sex hormones.
And, you know, despite all these...
young adults and kids coming forward saying they regret taking these medications and the surgeries that they've had.
And despite all the studies we have now showing the harms that it causes, they're ignoring the science and they are forging ahead.
Just like you were talking with before, they're really ignoring the science and the evidence.
So the American College of Pediatricians was formed about 25 years ago.
It was actually several doctors in the American Academy of Pediatrics, one of the past presidents even, that became really frustrated with the AAP going with ideological views instead of the scientific evidence.
And in fact, protocols, and still to this day, protocols and decisions are made by a group within the Academy of Pediatrics.
pediatrics and then published as this is consensus.
This is all our members.
Whereas the American College of Pediatricians, any statement we put out is researched by our scientific policy committee.
And then all of the members get a vote in it.
They all get to comment.
And so it encourages discussion.
It encourages dissent as opposed to the AAP, which silences doctors that speak up when they have questions.
You know, is this really good for kids?
Yes.
You know, there's several lawsuits.
This was the first one that had a verdict.
