Our laws, as it pertains to substances, are draconian and bizarre. The psychopath started this. He was an alcoholic because of social media and pornography, PTSD, love addiction, fentanyl and heroin. Ridiculous. I'm a doctor for f***'s sake. Where the hell do you think I learned that? I'm just saying, you go to treatment before you kill people. I am a clinician. I observe things about these chemicals. Let's just deal with what's real. We used to get these calls on Loveline all the time. Educate adolescents and to prevent and to treat. I'm gonna give you his particulars before I bring him in here. He's got a lot of stuff going on. This is going to be fun. I think we're going to have a good time here. Let's start with Galileo's lawyer. And well, no, no, no. I want to go to that. But first, let's talk about what the headline we mentioned we would talk about, which some of these lawsuits around detransitioning. Where are you involved with some of this? Is it medical malpractice now that's being pursued? Or is there something more profound that people are going to get accused of?
Well, actually, I'm not directly involved in any of the detransitioning lawsuits. What we have in common is we have filed a racketeering case against the American Academy of Pediatrics. And what's interesting is our lawsuit is about vaccines. But it turns out that the AAP is a central player in this whole gender transition thing. They wrote a major paper in 2018 that was widely criticized because it basically attempted to adopt as the standard of care transitioning and surgeries and hormonal replacement therapy. And I think what's happened is there's been a backlash from that recently because of this, in part because of the lawsuit, in part because of a study they did in Washington, in england the gas study and so my interest in this really is the fact that a central player in this part of it is
a defendant in a case that we filed a couple of weeks ago and the parallels to what's happening in both situations are, are really quite, you know, remarkable. Uh, and, and the pushback in the vaccine area and also in the detransition.
So that's really surprised. I, I, Yeah, so I want to share with you something I've observed over and over and over again about my profession and more importantly, some of the medical professional societies, the subspecialty organizations, American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics. And I see this mechanism at play. And it's the same mechanism that also brought us the overprescribing of opiates.
