if you don't do this for them, they're going to commit suicide.
And what parent, you know, doesn't want to do everything possible to prevent their child from committing suicide.
So it's a form of blackmail that the doctors are putting these families through.
Right.
And what other condition in medicine where upwards of 98% of these kids outgrow it?
I mean, we all know kids who thought they were an astronaut or a cloud or a pirate and all these things or thought they were the opposite sex.
And 98%, up to 98%, 88% to 98% outgrow this with support through natural puberty.
And so what other medical condition would you apply this many things with this many possible harms and side effects for a condition that...
takes care that they outgrow.
No.
I mean, I'm a pediatrician.
I know that kids' brains are not developed until their mid-20s.
And kids can't consent to these things.
They can't comprehend.
They just are incapable.
Just like a six-month-old is not capable of running.
They can't make these kind of important decisions.
And the parents are, I would argue, also not informed when...
You know, we know some of these things happen with, you know, very short visits.
