So you can move from the red to the black.
In the course of an hour, I watched it happen, you know, um, and it is a lovely thing to see happen and you get hope very, very quickly.
Yes.
And a as a cautionary note.
It can go the other way too.
Um, you know, I'm thinking of a father and son I worked with not long ago where dad decided to launch into a lecture because he had, you know, his son's attention in a session, and you could watch the lights go out in the son's eyes.
And I could feel like that bank account draining.
And, you know, so I intervened, but um left untouched.
that would have um created, I think, a lot of frustration and division between them.
And there's never been a time when our kids need to know that that emotional count uh uh bank account is available and that you are available to them.
Um
Now more than ever, they need to be aware of that.
Yeah.
So okay, so let me let me think of an example that doesn't uh present any identifying information.
Um a couple of years ago, um I worked with a young man.
He was vaping and smoking pot.
He was DJing, in other words, like he was trying to rap and DJ in the basement instead of doing homework.
Um
He was difficult.
