Well, a lot of us do that and we don't talk about it.
But doing it as a pattern, now we got an issue.
So, yeah, having the conversation is not simply about passing the peas and handing over the keys.
It's about doing your homework.
How's that person going to get out?
How are they going to get to the things they need?
But more importantly, in terms of quality of life, how are they going to get to the things and the people they love and want?
So first thing to do with them, start experimenting.
Start coming up with who's going to provide rides.
If they've never taken a ride share opportunity with Lyft, Uber, or whoever is in the neighborhood, do it while they don't have to so they get it over with.
You know, my dissertation advisor taught me that if you don't have three examples, you don't have a point.
So I'm going to give you three takeaways, but this one is the most important one.
have the conversation.
Longevity is a family project.
It's not an individual thing.
Talk about care, housing, what matters before the crisis happens.
Because when the crisis happens, somebody falls, breaks a hip on Friday.
They're hospitalized, surgery by Sunday.
By Monday, the hospital's saying, congratulations, mom's coming home.
