Fructose and glucose are sugar
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
And so it definitely, broccoli has some fiber and that's definitely going to slow down the sugar load that your body gets.
The more you cook it, the more it just becomes a carb.
And most people's grandmother cooks the broccoli to death, right?
Well, here's the thing.
That's actually probably healthier.
Oh, okay.
Because when you talk about eating plants, you got to talk about two things.
And a lot of people miss the plot on this.
The first thing is the carb count.
And so if you're somebody who doesn't ever, you never have a problem with your weight.
then you can cook your broccoli like you like it, cooked and mushy and charred, and it's fine.
The carb count goes up, but it doesn't matter for you because you're able to tolerate that level of carbs.
But the other thing that doesn't get talked about, which is a very real thing, is the phytochemical content.
in every single plant that you eat.
For some people, these are very inflammatory.
Let me get this out of the way because I know I'm going to say it at some point.
There's this thing in human physiology called a normal distribution curve, which means that the majority of people in the middle, if they eat too much of something, it's going to have a negative effect.
