There's no special like, you know, holy grail of getting into medical school other than just being willing to work 23 hours a day and sleep every third day.
And so doctors are just as susceptible to misconceptions, to fallacies, to misinformation.
And there are certain styles of misinformation.
that people who are educated are actually more susceptible to.
Somebody who's got a PhD or an MD or some graduate degree, when they hear a proclamation from a regulatory body or like the American Diabetes Association, they're much more likely to just accept that at face value.
accept it blindly.
It wouldn't even occur to them that maybe they have some financial disincentives, and so therefore they've slanted their message.
It doesn't even occur to a doctor.
Whereas, you know, just a regular person, if they say, oh, the ADA just said that you should eat 11 servings of whole grain a day, they're like, okay.
You know, the docs like take it to the bank.
I'm sure they did the research.
And the regular person's like, that's a lot of bread.
Probably the biggest myth that the average doctor might believe, but very often it's an unconscious belief, is that food doesn't really matter.
OK, because first of all, the majority of doctors in America got no nutrition training.
So you understand the implication is we didn't have a class in med school on that.
So obviously that's not important.
