And so then when you're doing your residency training, nobody talks about diet.
My friend Casey Means actually, when she was on my channel, she said that she brought up a diet in her residency training.
Like maybe they're eating too much of this.
And all the other residents looked at her like she was from Mars.
Like obviously diet has nothing to do with this.
Why would you even bring that up?
When the truth of the matter is, is that the majority of chronic disease in America today is directly caused by your diet, by what you're eating and sometimes what you're not eating.
That's that's the predominant cause of chronic disease.
I think that the average doctor probably thought that was a little bit kooky and a little bit conspiratorial because they believe, either consciously or unconsciously, that diet is really irrelevant.
Humans can eat whatever, and then I'll just, I'll medicate them.
I'll send them to the pharmacy for a pill or an injection or an infusion, and you can eat pretty much whatever.
That's not a big deal.
Absolutely.
By official nutrition advice coming from the U.S.
government.
also from the ADA, the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
All of these organizations are complicit.
Now, do I think there was a huge conspiracy?
No.
I think there were some incorrect assumptions made early on in American medicine and nutrition, and they've just kind of multiplied and magnified over the decades.
