So this is polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome now.
And that's much closer to the truth because polycystic ovarian syndrome is a complete misnomer.
The cysts have nothing to do with PCOS.
The first doctor who ever described it, he saw the cyst and he's like, oh, okay, that may have something to do with it.
We now know definitively that every woman
has cysts during certain times of her monthly cycle.
You may have a cyst right now.
You don't need to go see a doctor for that.
That's normal.
The cysts come and go.
Now, when you're metabolically unwell, this is basically type 2 diabetes of the ovary.
So when you have type 2 diabetes of the ovary, PMOS, used to be called PCOS, then you do have more cysts and you have bigger cysts, but it's because of something called hyperinsulinemia.
When you're eating too many carbohydrates, which break down into sugar, that's going to spike your blood sugar.
