And that's like prior trauma, growing up economically unstable.

having little to no adult supervision.

In the case of a minor, there are lots of other factors.

And the overlap of the factors that lead to trafficking and the factors that lead someone to relinquish are, they're so similar, like the Venn diagram has a huge middle circle.

And so it's interesting to see just how similar like, you know,

for lack of a better term, pimps would target maybe group homes where there were minors who weren't as well supervised or who were impoverished or who needed their basic needs provided for so that they could exploit them for commercial sex.

So similarly to what we were just saying, you know, we target impoverished families or people in crisis and expected pregnancies so that we can make money from their relinquishment and then adopting their child with someone else.

And that is not what's in the best interest of a child.

And there are alternatives that exist.

That's probably the

one of the second highest comments I get is, well, then what do you want us to do?

What's the alternative?

Guess what?

Those exist.

And family preservation is the best one we've got.

And it's very possible if we would just deconstruct some of our narratives about what adoption accomplishes.

Yeah.

So my favorite is family preservation.

Very possible.
