And so just having, I don't know, the closure maybe of seeing that that was exactly what happened.
Getting to fill in some other blanks was really helpful.
It turned out that the doctor who delivered me and took care of me my whole life, there was another involved.
He was a resident.
At the time, meaning he had a supervising physician.
So when I looked at that birth certificate, I learned something about myself that there was another physician present at my birth.
And it turned out he was one of the doctors who was currently training me in medical school.
So that was really interesting.
Yeah, very interesting to train.
And I did my OBGYN rotation in the hospital I was born in.
That was fun.
wild in a way that I didn't understand at the time.
But I just think this incessant need to know that I harbor that I feel that I've heard other adoptees described to is eased a little when we can have access to things like our OPC or hard copies of information about our adoption.
And knowing the actual details of the story before my adoption story has helped me embrace myself a little bit more and feel more secure in my own identity of just seeing like,
the hard evidence of what happened and making meaning for myself of what the facts were around everything that went down.
