So, you know, we talk about causes in like different levels.
And just to get technical, there's distal meaning far away and proximal.
And like on the far away side, we have policy.
The government has been like subsidizing sugar for decades and we have more sugar in our diet than we should.
And, you know, that's not something an individual controls.
And then we have like the individual behavior.
But then that seems to influence the gut health.
And, you know, you have to intervene at multiple levels.
But the fact that we see these mutations and it's due to the composition of the microbiome, that's something we can change.
I am not recommending the so-called fecal transplant as a public health intervention, but
Like you replace the gut, uh, microbiome.
It is possible that, you know, probiotics or something will, uh, you know, help improve gut health.
