They traveled to countries I didn't know were on the map.
And I'm their teacher.
And I had imposter syndrome for years, thinking they're going to find out that I didn't go to an Ivy League school myself.
I didn't even get in to an Ivy League school.
I didn't even know what one was, to be frank.
And I just had this assumption for so many years that, oh my gosh, these are the brightest crayons in the box who have all this background knowledge and parents who read to them and parents who are senators and producers.
And then I've gotten to watch for 25 years what happens.
And so many people don't achieve their goals in life.
And it's not because they're not smart.
You know what it is?
They can't deal with their feelings.
They can't deal with feedback.
They can't deal with disappointment.
They can't deal with the anxiety.
And so there's a point in our lives when our brain power, we need it, of course.
The more academically skilled we are, the better.
But it's insufficient.
It's insufficient.
So here I am.
