That's why, why would you bother God with your needs?
So we have to start with this realization that prayer affirms the dignity of personal need.
That's unimaginably important.
There's a text that I think you and I talked about when we were studying together.
We saw this text by the Bahir, B-A-H-I-R, the Book of Clarity, 11th century, where the author, it's a set of Aramaic Hebrew fragments where the author says,
something like the reason the world was made manifest by the divine was in order to create needs it's very kind of you're almost like what does that mean no no we kind of think oh we have needs we got to get our needs fulfilled and then we can live our lives and this text no no it's all about how you experience your needs we are created in order to need and
And to be needed.
And how I address needing and being needed is everything.
So with your permission, my friend, I know we had one story from the lineage today, but let's just maybe add one more.
So there's this master, the Baal Shem Tov, that we both know, who's the master of one of our teachers, Mordecai Leiner.
And so his master, the Baal Shem Tov, the master of the good name, you know, has this wagon driven by Alexei.
And Alexei, of course, you know, lets the horses go where they want to go and looks at the Baal Shem Tov and they find their way.
And, you know, in Dune, they talk about Katsit Hadron.
Right.
You know, or however they pronounce it, which is basically, you know, Frank Herbert kind of slightly stoned in 1964, writing Dune, reading a Hasidic text that says, right, the ability of the masters to jump through time.
Right.
And to go.
And so, so the Baal Shem Tov is repeated.
Kvitzat Hadrach is the ability to travel through time.
So that's the Messiah.
