And it's not a selfish pursuit because happier people are healthier people and they have a natural tendency to be kind, generous, supportive, community orientated, and they elevate the people around them.
Right.
So the world needs happier, more contented people.
And it's also really good for our health as well.
So, you know, I often kind of sometimes we think happiness is over there.
Health is over here.
Let's bring them all together.
Right.
And the other thing with happiness is really the best practice, I think, is just starting your day with with a couple of appreciations, things that you genuinely appreciate in your life, allowing yourself to feel gratitude.
and appreciation, particularly if someone has a mind filter of what's missing, what's wrong, et cetera, which is sometimes easy to get caught up in.
So in True Happiness, I kind of offer many ways of supporting happiness.
And to be honest with you, one of it
is to get the body healthy and well.
Because if your hormones are out of balance, you've got stress in your nervous system, your blood sugar is up and down, you've got a liver issue or whatever it might be, your journey to happiness is going to be so much more challenging because the way we feel is profoundly influenced by what's happening in our biology and our bodies.
So as a mind-body medicine trained doctor,
You always work with both together in parallel.
That's the real key.
What you'll find with a single load of doctors is the way they practice reflects how they live.
It just reflects the journey they've been on.
Many doctors in the integrative functional medicine world have faced their own health challenges.
