So you cut a hole in the back of the head of the skull, is that right?

That's correct, yeah.

This is actually...

an example of about the size of the hole that we would go.

We'd bring in a microscope.

We'd go down between the bone of the skull and the brain surface, and we'd gently move the brain surface away, come down on the nerve, free the blood vessel up, and then come out and close.

Tremendous.

Like I was, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor ever since I was five years old.

I want to be a doctor.

I was a pool doctor.

I used to give people band-aids when they stubbed their toes and I would clean out scrapes and things.

And

So I always knew I wanted to be a doctor.

And when I got to college, I didn't want to go the pre-med route.

I wanted to have more of a humanities background.

So I chose philosophy and I truly enjoyed it.

And I think it created sort of a thought pattern in my mind about to analyze things.
