And so the leaders, they actually said some of those phrases as well.
They no longer do that because again, the clarity piece, they're like, nope, this is not appropriate anymore.
And that's what they taught the staff.
So clarity to me is one of the key points.
And then I would say consistency.
Culture changes in the hundreds of everyday moments where the leader team, they get to either address it or they get to ignore it.
If leaders address that incivility one day, but then on like a Thursday or Friday, they overlook it perhaps because they have to run to a meeting or whatever.
If they don't address that, the message.
becomes super confusing for the teams and that old culture is gonna continue.
That old.
That consistency is really what's gonna slowly reset what the team considers air quotes normal or or this is how it is around here.
And the last piece I would say around that is courage.
In our emergency department, and you were kind of getting at this a little bit too, Renee, is the leaders were a little hesitant at first, but then they finally got on board and then they were truly ready for change.
They were all in and they are so motivated.
They're they're fully engaged, they're willing to put in the hard work.
And this did take hard work.
I want to make sure everybody understands that the team members did.
work long hours because they wanted to make sure they were seeing the day shift, the evening shift, the night shift.
They could as they progressed through the program, they could also see the impact, you know, that the culture was having, the change, the transformation.
