The first place that people recommended was AA, Alcoholics Anonymous.
They've got this big book with, it was written in the 1930s.
They go on about G-O-D, a higher power, something bigger than you.
I don't believe in a religious version of that, but I do believe I had the gift of desperation.
And I needed a group of drunks, a group of drug addicts, a group of doctors who had been there before to try and help me.
Then there's Narcotics Anonymous.
It's mostly opiates that people would go there.
Sometimes it's other drugs.
Sometimes it's alcoholics.
They're quite nice meetings.
I love Cocaine Anonymous.
That's for any mood or mind-altering drug and behaviours.
I go to some of those meetings.
I was at one last night.
Really quite funky crowd.
I like them.
There's also things like Gamblers Anonymous, Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous.
There's a Nicotine Anonymous.
