Now come up with some deeper, more meaningful questions you could ask somebody.

We find people can come up with questions.

We do this just in downtown Chicago, in Millennium Park.

People are just walking around in the park.

They can come up with more meaningful questions that they could ask.

They're just choosing not to.

And when we then ask people to have a conversation based on the deeper questions they came up with, they enjoy that conversation more than the ones that the questions that they would normally ask somebody about.

You have more power, I think, to create more meaningful conversations if you choose to try.

So that's one barrier.

Taking an interest in really getting to know somebody, how they're feeling about something, how they really think about something, what they believe, what their hopes and dreams are.

something deeper about them rather than surface level.

But,

And conversation itself, if you want some practical thoughts about how to do this, I do have some of those.

And our data suggests you can get deep really quickly in conversation if you try.

So we give people in our experiments, you know, meaningful questions.
