And so it just got me thinking, I wonder how much of right that and again, to be clear, because I haven't yet said it, I believe we're talking in a gender, I believe we all have different energies in our body.
I believe female identified people, right, have the ability to assert anger, to be calm and nurturing.
Kind of we both have the masculine and feminine energy to different degrees.
However,
I think very few humans and I think some of these
Cultural lessons that absolutely get wrapped around gendered expression, I do think, are born out of cultural dysfunction, right?
We have a culture.
who similar to grief, I don't think we know how to cope with it.
I don't think we know how to cope with it in a healthy way.
And so celebrating all of us out there as we get more attuned to or connected with our anger, though does still mean that we do have to find
Healthier outlets, ways to assert ourselves, ways to even just discharge, right?
Slamming the pillows, going to the what are those rooms now where you can rage round, rage round, you know, like I've still got that on my bucket list.
I've not done it yet either, and I'm dying to, but there still has to be an outlet for literally the physical energy of it, in addition to for a lot of us women in particular, learning to healthily assert ourselves, to find
boundaries hold people and us accountable to those boundaries, right?
Show up.
in self-defense because that's what assertive, healthy, expressed anger is.
It allows us to define those limits and to protect ourselves if and when we need to.
So for a lot of us, again, that's a journey.
I think it comes from a society that is very ill-equipped.
Sometimes, right, the good girl, boy, whatever person is developed in protection to having had contact or experience with perhaps an abusive, explosive version of anger.
