And so, but that's how I was seen was Nicole.
You just, you know, you and it took until more recently, my sister was like, You just like yesed, mom.
And I'm like, Yes, I did.
I just told mom whatever it is that you know she wanted or needed to.
Here, I was agreeable to preserve connection because what my mom would do, she wouldn't explosively yell, she would shut down.
She would give this silent treatment, sometimes for extended periods of time.

Again, being agreeable often has a function in childhood.
Some version of it is to preserve connection.
A lot of us again form an identities where that be just becomes who we are.
I can't be anyone else.
And in adulthood, right, it translates to saying yes when we mean no, overextending ourselves, but all of the while kind of going back to anger.

It usually indicates that our needs have not been met.
We've been overextending ourselves, saying yes, being agreeable to the point of our own neglect.
And abandonment.
So to that person, not only will I say with awareness, with seeing yourself in action, noticing when you're immediately saying yes and pausing and learning how to break those habits, learning where your limits are so you don't continue to overextend yourself and then

I have a lot I want to play back to you too, so we get more stuff at the continuum.
