I'll just deviate for a moment because again, this is a space where I want to focus on your knowledge, but
you know, as someone who has a PhD in psychology, was trained as a scientist, you know, I never imagined 17 years ago I would start coaching.
I didn't even really know what that means when licensed psychologists in my area of Tampa were asking me to just work with this student.
They need some coaching.
And, you know, I kind of put my nose in the air and I was like,
Well, that's what people do when they're at the beach and they don't really have a degree.
Um, you know, I I had such a negative impression and and and I hope that coaching will soon become regulated, but I will say that after
17 years in practice, 14 very specifically with students with ADHD and autism, I have come to see that there is a real value to what it is that we do the way that we do it.
Now, I would say to parents, of course, you know, before you engage a coach, make sure you know what their credentials are and what their background is.
But the kind of thing that we're talking about today in terms of
bringing that awareness, tracking data, you know, looking at
feedback for that student and helping that student one on one build the skills they need that school might not be able to, I think has been um
