My first question would be, what does that do?
And when are you doing that?
Are you doing it when you bump into someone?
Are you doing it when you totally offend someone?
Are you doing it every all day long?
I mean, I hear people that say they say sorry all day long.
But I think that's the question.
And we could get into some of the cultural differences.
You know, I think sometimes our English is a bit flat.
And I think there's other cultures that have, you know, like in Mandarin, for example, when you say sorry, there's three different potential words you might use.
One that expresses regret, one that expresses embarrassment, and one for accepting blame.
It's kind of interesting.
Yeah.
And that's true.
I think that's another thing.
We might say sorry when we mean something else and we don't have the sophistication to build a different message.
So we just do it habitually because there's a lot of things that you and I say that are just habitual things.
We don't really think through like, what would be a better thing to say in this moment?
Like when someone passes away, people say, I'm sorry.
Yeah.
